What you actually pay

The headline number isn't the real number.

Other reservation platforms charge a SaaS rate and a per-cover fee on top — or they take a percentage of every deposit and ticket sale. Below is what a 1,000-cover month actually costs at each.

Platform SaaS, monthly list Per-cover Cut of prepayments All-in / month*
CoverCount Growth $199 $0 0% $199
OpenTable Core $299 $1.00 2% on experiences ~$1,300
Tock Essential $269 $0 2–3% $269 + 2–3% of prepayments

*1,000 covers / month, illustrative. Monthly list pricing throughout for an apples-to-apples comparison; CoverCount's annual prepay drops Growth to $139 / month effective. OpenTable per-cover figure is the published Core rate. CoverCount never charges per cover and never takes a percentage of your prepayments — not at Growth, not at any tier.

Frequently asked

Answers before you ask.

How does the free trial work?
21 days, no card, no contract, full access to the features on your chosen tier. If you keep going, you pick a plan at the end. If you don't, you export your data and walk away clean.
Do you charge per cover or per booking?
No. One flat monthly price per venue, period. OpenTable charges per cover on top of the SaaS rate. Tock takes 2–3% on prepayments. CoverCount takes 0% of either.
How does cancellation work?
Self-serve. Click cancel, confirm, done. Cancellation stops your next renewal — you keep using CoverCount through the rest of your current paid period and then you're off. No phone calls, no support tickets.
What happens at renewal?
Your plan renews at the same price you signed up at. We don't auto-bump you to a new list price at month 13. If list pricing ever changes, your renewal price changes only after we give you written notice with time to evaluate.
What about multi-venue groups?
Each location bills separately at its chosen tier. Groups of 3+ venues get consolidated billing and a discount — get in touch.
Can I import from Tock, Resy, or OpenTable?
Yes. We help you import your customer list, upcoming reservations, and basic tags. No per-migration fee.
Who handles deposit and ticket payments?
You do. You connect your own merchant account and funds settle directly to you. CoverCount never holds your money and never takes a percentage of your prepayments.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You export reservations, customers, tags, transactions, and events at any time. On cancellation we give you 90 days to pull your data before archival.
