CoverCount for tasting rooms

Cidery, distillery, brewery — if you pour, we'll book it.

Tasting flights, paid experiences, walk-in management, and event ticketing in one tool. Built for any venue where the booking unit is a flight on a counter, not a 4-top in a dining room. No per-cover fees. No cut of your deposits or ticket sales.

This summer, your tasting room moves onto Resy — whether it fits or not.

On February 24, 2026, Resy's CEO confirmed that Tock venues will be unified onto the Resy platform — 'all on Resy' — this summer. The announcement led with restaurants. It said nothing about tasting flights, walk-in waitlists, club gating, or the prepaid-experience workflow a cidery, distillery, or brewery runs every weekend.

Either way, you're in for a season of change: your counter team relearns a new system, you rebuild your flights and release-party ticketing on a platform you didn't choose, and your guests meet a different booking page the next time they reserve. The usual reason to stay — switching is a hassle — doesn't apply when the switch is happening to you regardless.

The only choice left is where you land. CoverCount is built for how a tasting room actually works — multiple flight types per table, a two-way SMS walk-in waitlist, ticketed release parties, member gating — takes 0% of your prepayments, and our team moves your guest list and reservations over for you. No per-migration fee.

What it looks like

A Saturday tasting room, run from one screen.

Walk-ins, reservations, paid flights, the occasional bachelorette — and the brewery's release party in the back room. CoverCount handles all of it.

A busy Saturday afternoon in a tasting room with guests at the bar and high-top tables
Doors open at 12:00
The counter sees today at a glance: flights booked by hour, walk-ins waiting, and which stations are flowing. No clipboard, no morning huddle to figure out who is where.
A 4-top books the reserve flight
The booking widget knows the reserve flight runs 60 minutes and costs $35 a head. A deposit per seat is captured up front. The kitchen knows what to plate; the bar knows what to pour.
A family of six walks in at 2:00
No room right now; they go on the waitlist with their phone. They walk the grounds. When a table opens up, they get a text and reply yes. No one camping the host stand.
Club members get a different flight
Members carry a tag that gates a member-only flight. Your host sees it the moment they book; the pour list is automatic.
The release party is sold out
A public event page on your brand, 80 tickets sold, with a 24-hour reminder going out tonight. Funds in your account already — we don't take a cut.
After close
Post-visit rating requests roll out. Your tasting room manager can see a 5-star to share, a 2-star to fix, and the no-show rate for the weekend — without exporting anything.

Why tasting rooms switch

Built for tastings — without abandoning the rest of the operation.

Booking tools that only do tastings leave the rest of your operation in spreadsheets. CoverCount handles tastings, walk-ins, events, private events, and guest CRM with the same toolset.

Multiple flight types per table.
Standard, reserve, paired tasting, blind flight, distillery tour — each with its own duration and pricing, on the same table.
Walk-ins, not chaos.
A two-way SMS waitlist so guests can step out to the grounds and get a text when their table is ready.
No revenue share on tickets or deposits.
Funds settle to your account, in full. No marketplace cut, no commission on a release weekend.
Predictable per-venue pricing.
No per-cover fees, no per-booking fees. One monthly price, however busy you get.

What you get on day one

A tasting-room toolkit, not a tasting widget.

Experiences per table
Standard flight, reserve flight, blind tasting, paired snacks, tour-plus-tasting — a table can host any of them with its own duration, party-size cap, and deposit policy.
Paid tastings, paid to you
Charge for flights up front. Per-experience rules so the reserve tasting requires a deposit and the walk-in flight doesn't. Funds settle to your account; we don't take a cut.
Walk-in waitlist with two-way SMS
Add a walking party with their phone. When a table opens up, they get a text, reply yes, and walk in. Guests roam the grounds instead of crowding the counter.
Public Events for release weekends
Free or paid ticketed event pages on your brand. Refund cutoffs, tax, automated 24-hour reminders. No marketplace fees.
Member vs. non-member tagging
Club members carry the right tag at booking time. Member-only experiences can gate to those tags automatically; pricing rules can follow membership tier.
Post-visit ratings
An automatic ratings request after each tasting. Catch a great review early — or a quiet 2-star — before it shows up on Google.

Tasting room FAQ

The questions tasting rooms ask.

My booking unit is a flight, not a table. Does this work?
Yes. Experiences are first-class on every tier. A flight is a kind of experience — a duration, a price, a seat count, and an optional deposit. Each station, counter seat, or table can host one or more experience types.
Are wineries on a different page?
Yes — see CoverCount for wineries. The product is the same; the wineries page leans into wine-club sync and release-weekend specifics. This page covers cideries, distilleries, breweries, meaderies, and any other tasting venue.
How do I handle walk-ins on a busy weekend?
Two-way SMS waitlist on Growth. Add the party at the counter, give them an estimated wait, let them roam the grounds. When their table opens up, they get a text and reply yes. Nobody has to camp the counter for a status update.
Can I gate experiences to club members?
Yes. Member-only experiences can gate to tagged customers. On Venue+, the Vinoshipper integration carries wine-club membership tags automatically; for other clubs, you can apply tags manually or via the booking API.
What about ticketed events — release parties, brewmaster dinners?
Public Events on Growth. Free or paid ticketed event pages on your brand, with sales cutoffs, refund cutoffs, tax, and automated 24-hour reminders. Funds settle to your account; we don't take a cut.
Can I take a card-on-file deposit for the bachelorette party?
Yes. Card-on-file holds are part of the deposit toolkit — capture only if they no-show. Per-experience rules so the holding policy applies to the big-party tasting and not the walk-in flight.
