The Private Events inquiry link gives guests a focused way to ask about buyouts, private dining, large parties, and custom events. Add the link where guests already look for group-event information.
Do not bury the link only on a generic contact page if private events are an important revenue channel.
Copy The Inquiry URL
In CoverCount, copy the venue's Private Events public URL from the Private Events settings page.
The link should open the public inquiry form for the venue. Test it before adding it to the website.
Choose The Right Website Placement
Good placements:
- Main navigation item:
Private Events - Footer link
- Private dining page
- Events or groups page
- Weddings or celebrations page
- Contact page
- Restaurant buyout page
- Winery visits page
- Group tastings page
If the venue has a dedicated private-events page, add the CoverCount link as the primary call to action.
Use Clear Link Copy
Good button text:
Request a Private EventPlan a Private EventInquire About Private DiningRequest a BuyoutPlan a Group TastingStart a Private Event Request
Avoid vague copy:
SubmitClick hereMore infoContact
The link should tell guests what happens next.
Add Context Near The Link
Short supporting copy helps guests know what to submit.
Example:
Tell us about your group, preferred date, party size, and event style. Our team will review your request
and follow up with availability and next steps.
For venues that need advance notice:
For best availability, please inquire at least two weeks before your preferred date.
Use Tracking When Helpful
If the venue promotes private events from multiple places, use UTM parameters to track the placement.
Examples:
- Website private dining page
- Instagram bio
- Email campaign
- Wedding venue directory
- QR code on a printed packet
Keep the base inquiry link intact and add only the tracking parameters your team uses consistently.
Test The Live Placement
After adding the link:
- Open the website page on desktop.
- Open it on a phone.
- Click the Private Events link.
- Confirm it opens the right venue form.
- Submit a test request.
- Confirm staff and guest emails arrive.
- Confirm the request appears in the Private Events inbox.
For more testing detail, see Test the Private Event inquiry form.
